The Context & Challenge

H&W Publishing specializes in high-volume Direct Response (DR) marketing. The challenge was to maintain high conversion rates while scaling ad spend on platforms like Facebook and Google. In this environment, every second of load time and every word of copy impacts the bottom line.

My role was to design and optimize advertorials and sales pages that didn't just "look good," but were engineered to convert cold traffic into customers at scale.

The Strategy

The Content Length Paradox: During our optimization cycles, we ran extensive A/B tests on advertorial length. Conventional UX wisdom suggests "shorter is better," but our data showed the opposite: long-form advertorials (2,000–2,500 words) significantly outperformed shorter versions.

Algorithmic Synergy: We discovered that the increased word count provided more context for the Facebook Ad Algorithm. By feeding the AI more "semantic data" on the landing page, the platform could better identify and target high-intent users, lowering our CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) and increasing the quality of the incoming traffic.

The Execution

We translated strategic insights into a modular funnel architecture designed for rapid scaling and testing. The execution balanced premium aesthetics with algorithmic alignment to ensure every element served a specific conversion goal. By focusing on clarity and compelling calls to action, we created a data-driven engine capable of transforming high-volume traffic into sustained growth.

Scalable ROAS: Achieved a stable Return on Ad Spend while increasing daily budgets.
